We will be showing our Ideas at the Blickfang tradeshow in Vienna from the 16th until the 18th of october 2009 in the Museum of Applied Arts. the Blickfang has become quite wellknown for discovering innovative labels, meeting over 200 designers in person, sampling products, trying on outfits and best of all, buying them directly on the spot. blickfang showcases furniture, jewellery and fashion from the young and international design scene, apart from mass goods and mass production. The designers are present and can answer questions and offer products that style up our life and make it more beautiful.

BLICKFANG

As part of the Vienna Design Week we managed to connect a joint venture between the parisian Galerie Slott and the vienese Design & Art Gallery. During the exhibiton a selection of objects, found in the Love Design Book(DAAB PUBLISHING) from designers like Mathieu Lehanneur, Matali Crasset, Pupsam, Florence Jaffrain, CLAASSEN & PARTNER, and Andrea Knecht will be shown who where comissioned by Galerie Slott to reflect on the role of love, erotic and sexuality in the design world. The unusual results of Product Design that give the everyday life a little bit more sex appeal can be seen at the Klaus Engelhorn Depot.

The Denim Sitting Ball and our Bend-a-lier will be shown for the first time in Milano as part of Hidden Heroes. It is an exhibition organized by design agency untitled (fab) and event organizer urban-fx with over 30 international designers. These mavericks have come together to fight current low spirits with a truly inspirational exhibition: their products range from intimate to highly industrial finishes, from fine fabrics to metals, from outdoor to indoor furniture. Some of the pieces push material technology to the limit; others are filled with poetry, enchantment and even humor. We are looking forward to welcoming you there…

Love Design is a project that explores the multifaceted relationship between design and positive feelings such as affection, desire, pleasure and romance, but also jealousy, distance, separation and pain. Published by daab, love design the book presents a selection of unusual products, objects, graphics and textiles specifically designed to enhance (or distort) our pleasurable sense of togetherness in every possible (and impossible) way. during the milan furniture fair 09, love design the exhibition presents the works of 20 outstanding designers taken from the book. the selection includes new products and special editions, in categories like fine textile, sound wave jewelry, blushing lighting, erotic tableware, lover’s furniture and more surprising delights. this exhibition questions the very meaning of the word ‘love’, the beginning and the ending of what binds us together and tears us apart.

Our work will be shown as part of the Teasy Rider Miami Art Basel 2007 selected by Exquise Design a company that edits and manufactures a new breed of product design. The paris-based design firm launches its first collection on the theme of love, gathering great women designers around one concept: creating beautiful and functional lovetoys in line with women’s lives today.

For Teasy Rider Miami Art Basel 2007, Exquise Design has invited a group of european designers to create one piece each inspired by the notion of ’love design’, including our Studio. From lighting to jewellery, badges and animation, we hope that with our contribution the ride will bring you to the 8th heaven!
