The Maibaum table is a side table made from one single piece of bark that is interwoven. The knot created makes the structure and no additional reinforment or screw is used to make a Maibaum table. Through the interweaving of surfaces many layer and sots are created to make space for stuff the one likes to put on a side table i .e. magazines and so on. Just like each tree each Maibaum table is unique. As for the name it come from the old tradition of the maypole, which is a tall wooden pole erected as a part of various European folk festivals , particularly on may day.
